Diana Jimenez

Obituary of Diana Jimenez

Diana Jimenez was born in Eagle Pass, Texas on January 1st, 1959 to Jose Angel Jimenez and Josefina Martin, both of Texas. She made her way to Idaho as a teenager and was raised by her grandmother Odilia Martin. Diana had three children from three different marriages, Carlos Espinoza Jr (Idaho), Jessica Salvador(California) and the baby Vanessa Aguiniga (Idaho).
Diana often took her three children on countless road trips and vacations. She worked hard for 18 years at Jr. Simplot company, until a car accident rendered her unable to work. She took pride in her job and dedication, often missing holidays with her family to provide for them. Diana wore several hats at work and at home, helping wherever she could. Always cracking a joke in any type of situation, she was quick to cut the tension with humor. She was always taking on new tasks, from home repairs, car repairs, to quick thinking in any type of situation. She made sure her daughters were self-sufficient and independent to provide for themselves and their families. Diana took pride in her home state and city, always yelling out. “Yeehaw” every time she saw anything referencing the state of Texas! She enjoyed so many genres of music, from Tejano to classic rock. She loved Fredy Mercury and his band Queen, as well as local Tejano groups such as Ram Herrera, Mazz, La Mafia, and Gary Hobbs. Diana had several hobbies such as fishing, bird watching, gardening, and thrifting. She loved all of her chihuahua dogs, the most recent being Yoshi who was able to join her in her final days. Constantly speaking about Yoshi gave her a sense of purpose and love and would do anything for her dog. She is survived by her three adult children (Carlos, Jessica, and Vanessa), six grand-children (Caden Cruz Espinoza, Beck Landon Salvador, Melanie U. Aguiniga, Cason Carlos Espinoza, Elijah Josiah Espinoza, and Evalyn Rodriguez). Her mother Josefina Jimenez, brother Monico Jimenez, and Angie Martin, as well as several nieces and nephews. Diana is preceded into death by her father Jose Angel Jimenez, both sets of grandparents, Juanita and Amador Jimenez(paternal). Odilia and Pedro Martin, Sr.(Maternal), and her little brother Jose Angel Jimenez, Jr. whom she loved dearly.
