Jeff Warner

Obituary of Jeff Warner

Jeff (Tomcod) Warner, husband, and father. After battling brain cancer for 21 months passed peacefully at home Wednesday 27, 2024 at the age of 69.

Jeff was born in Los Angeles, CA in Nov. 1954. He moved to Northern California in the mid-1970’s. He worked as a carpenter for several years before becoming employed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California, first as a contractor in 1979, then as a LLNL employee in 1984. He started as a carpenter, then an estimator, then most of his years served as a superintendent. Jeff retired in 2016 after 32 years of service.

In 2022, Jeff and his wife moved to Idaho to enjoy their retirement and all the beauty Idaho had to offer.

Jeff enjoyed many, many hobbies: boating, fishing, building and designing finish rods, designing and pouring of swimbait, bowling, Garden Rail Roads, RC cars and planes, and many more. Jeff mastered them all. He loved his hobbies for two main reasons, he loved the challenge of something new and he loved sharing with his friends and making new ones. Jeff was a person who could enter a room not knowing anyone and leave an hour later with several new friends. With jeff no one was a stranger.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 20 years, Collie, his sons Shawn Warner, and Nolan Warner, and his sister, Sharon Rolland.

Jeff will be cremated. No formal services will occur at his request.

Jeff’s main wish is for his family and many friends to enjoy the time they have doing what makes them happy and think of him when doing the things he loved.
