Obituary of Donald David Howard

Donald David Howard, loving father, brother and grandfather passed away peacefully, on Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Nampa, Idaho at age 72.

Born to Juanita V. and L. Elsdon Howard in Provo, Utah on April 9, 1951, he was the second oldest of four children.  Dave was easygoing, loved his family, church, and scouting.  He married Doreen Elizabeth Thomas on January 4, 1974 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  They had three children: Doug (Meryn), Sean (Kathryn), and Scott.  He is survived by his sons: Doug (Meryn) Howard of San Tan, Arizona; Sean (Kathryn) Howard of Omaha, Nebraska; and Scott Howard of Nampa, Idaho; as well as his 13 grandchildren; and his brothers Ron Howard and Roy Howard.

He is preceded in death by his wife Doreen Thomas Howard; parents Juanita & Elsdon Howard; and sister Penny (Howard) Caldwell. 

A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Blackfoot Stake Center, 1650 Highland Dr., Blackfoot, Idaho.  Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery. 

The family expresses thanks to the staff of Karcher Estates and others who so lovingly assisted Dave in his later years of life.
