Mark Rowley, Jr.

Obituary of Mark D. Rowley, Jr.

Mark D. Rowley Jr. age 53 passed away January 21, 2024, in Caldwell, Idaho. Mark was born in Caldwell, Idaho to Mark Rowley Sr. and Peggy Fleetwood. He attended Middleton Schools and later graduated from the Boise State University, Larry G. Selland College of Applied Technology in 2000. He worked as a welder at Isom in Caldwell and then welder and plumber with Drake Mechanical and lastly Gem State Mechanical. He was a hard worker and talented in everything he did. He could fix or build anything and would help anyone who asked for his help.

Mark married Tracy (Burrow) in 1993 and they built a family together. Mark first, without hesitation, became a dad to Shawna. He was the perfect example of family meaning more than blood. In 1998, Mark and Tracy were blessed with twin daughters Cheyenne and Cassidy. His daughters and grandchildren were his world and he loved, cherished and was so proud of them. They could always count on their dad and papa to provide for them, take them fishing and camping, go to all of their games and events cheering them on and, to take them on the greatest adventures. In 2016, Mark & Tracy adopted their grandson, Zane. Zane knew that he had the best papa in the world and was his shadow for the past 8 years. Mark was everything to his children and grandchildren and could always be found barbequing, playing horseshoes and just enjoying his family.

Mark knew no strangers and was a friend to all. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and someone you could always count on to be there when you needed him. He loved motorcycles and four wheelers and was a state champion racing four wheelers. Mark loved to hunt, fish and to be outdoors. He loved camping and his family will forever cherish those memories spent with him in the mountains or following along on a hunt. In 2023, he drew an Idaho Bighorn Sheep tag and was able to go on the hunt of lifetime with his sheep family. Among his many accomplishments he volunteered alongside his wife and daughters on bighorn sheep captures, tradeshows and fundraisers. You could always count on him to help wherever, whenever needed.

There are not enough words to truly express what a great man, friend, husband, amazing father and, the best papa in the world he was. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. He will be missed forever but never forgotten.

Mark is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tracy; his daughters Shawna Vincent (Niphaphone Souriya), Cassidy Rowley (Clint Hayes) and Cheyenne Rowley (Tyler Carpenter); grandchildren Breyden, Cena, Zane, Lorelai, Oliver, Pierce and Kato; parents Mark Rowley Sr, Sharon Rowley and Peggy Fleetwood; brother Nathan Rowley (Charo); nieces and nephews Cody, Victoria and Anna Rowley, Courtney Hollingsworth, Brittney (Kyle) Scarlett, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Duane and Eva Rowley; grandparents George and Helen Ottens, brother-in-law Dan Burrow; and sister Mashelle Burson.

His family will honor his final wishes of no service but to have a celebration of his life and spread his ashes on West Mountain, his favorite hunting spot, in mid-June around his birthday. The family will give more details in May.
