Keith Wrigley

Obituary of Keith Leroy Wrigley

Keith Wrigley born in California, passed on January 24th at 79 years old. He stopped momentarily at the pearly gates to fix a broken hinge, but made it to his family reunion just fine.

He spent his childhood in Rupert, ID and attended high school in Burley, ID. Keith served in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict. He achieved the rank of Sergeant. He attended college at Ricks College and BYU. His degree was in structural engineering. While attending college, he married Nina Jones. They had six kids and 33 grandchildren and now four great grandchildren. As a leap-year baby, Keith was able to share his “17th birthday” with his grandson Kyle the year he was 17.

Keith worked at Irrigators Lumber Company of Caldwell for 30 years. He spent a few years as a building inspector. He was working as a night janitor at Syringa Middle School when he retired in 2015.

Keith was a problem solver. Folks could tell him what they needed, and he would make it. He loved the Lord and the gospel and shared that love as best he could in his many roles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served his mission for the church in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission, mainly Pennsylvania.

In his life of service to his church Keith enjoyed being Physical Facilities Representative (PFR), serving on the high council, and serving as executive secretary to many stake presidents. Once retired Keith and Nina served a local mission in the Pathway Program. They served as part of the Housing Department with the Nampa Mission. Together they also served in the Meridian Idaho Temple.

Keith Wrigley is survived by his wife, Nina, six children, Andrea Lee (Joseph), Mike Wrigley (Sharon), Cathy Brooksby (Dave), Darren Wrigley (Shanell), Douglas Wrigley (Hilary) and Christine Hogg (Grant), 33 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents LaVerl and Thelma Wrigley, siblings Leah, Frank, and Fred and grandson Kyle Lee.
