Obituary of Betty Wilson

Betty Jean Burdine Wilson, 93, of Homedale, Idaho went peacefully to join her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Betty was born on November 29, 1930 in Melrose, New Mexico and was the first of four children to bless Ernie and Maybelle Burdine. Betty’s younger years were spent in New Mexico and Texas. Her family later moved to Homedale, Idaho where Betty met and married the father of her children. Betty and Daniel’s 59-year marriage began in 1964 when along with Betty’s 3 sons they moved to the Orovada, Nevada area. For the next 20 years or so, Betty raised her sons, kept the family home running, worked on the farms, in the local grocery and post office, and spent time doing activities with her family. Betty and Daniel moved back to Homedale sometime in the 1980’s to care for Betty’s aging parents. Betty enjoyed being with her family, attending Sunday services and going to local singings with her sisters Martha Berrichoa and Ernestine Blessing. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, her parents Ernie and Maybelle, her son Bradley, her brother Tommy and both of her sisters. Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kim Williams, son and daughter-in-law Jason and Suzanne Baker, daughter-in-law Janet Baker, grandsons Orin, Tyrell and Joshua Baker, granddaughters Michelle, Melissa, and Monica Williams, step daughters Marilyn Caress and Diana Davis, stepson Danny Wilson, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Idaho, will be held at the Marsing-Homedale Cemetery on March 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
