Obituary of Fern Marcella Olson Jones

Born October 25th 1940 in Fertile, Minnesota to Carl and Bertha Olson, Fern was the youngest of 4 children.

Fern graduated from Crookston High School in 1957. Fern moved to Eugene, OR after graduation to be with her family. While attending Eugene Business College, Fern met Glenn Jones who was attending University of Oregon.

Fern and Glenn were married September 10th 1960 and had 3 children. They moved to Parma, Idaho in 1967 where Fern worked for Manser Ford as an office manager for 18 years. Fern spent her retirement living in Fruitland, ID and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Fern is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Bertha Olson, her brother Lowell Olson and her husband Glenn Jones in 1994. She is survived by her brother Curtis Olson, her sister Carole Rhoades, her 3 children Robert Jones, Pamela Ankrum and Carole Henggeler; 7 grandchildren Jeffrey and Kendra Ankrum, Jake and Hailee Henggeler, David Schweitzer, and Marcus and Joshua Jones; and 4 great grandchildren Adley, Coraley and Temprance Ankrum, Kashton Schweitzer and one more on the way (Rowan Henggeler). Fern is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, 1/5/24 at St. Paul Lutheran Church (Viewing at 10:00 am, service at 11:00 am)
