Obituary of Richard Todd Pero

Richard (Dick) Todd Pero a life-long resident of Middleton, ID went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2023 at the age of 63 after a short battle with cancer surrounded by his family.

Dick was born in Ontario, OR at the Holy Rosary Hospital on June 21, 1960 to Dan and Patricia Pero. He spent his younger years in Prospect, OR. Prospect was the place he truly called home. The Pero family moved to Middleton, ID in 1973. Dick attended Middleton schools where he participated in football, basketball and track. He graduated with the class of 1980.

Dick joined the National Guard after graduation, where he trained as a combat engineer. After he was discharged he went into the construction business. He did everything from building houses, roofing and concrete work. The last 10 years Dick worked in landscaping and in the off season he would go out and fall timber for fire wood. He was a true outdoorsman and would spend as much time as he could outside exploring, fishing and camping with his faithful dog Harley.

He is survived by his dad Dan Pero, sister’s Diana (Ken) Maurer, Danielle (Brett) Gould, Denise (Jamison) Chochrek, and brother David Pero. His nine children Julie McCullough, Michael Feldner, Nicole (Lane) Poynor, Joshawa Roberson-Pero, Jesse Roberson-Pero, Jace Pero, Josiah Pero, Crystal Pero, and Kason (Abrielle) Pero. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his mom Patricia Pero and nephew Mitchell Pero.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
