Obituary of Trevor Gene Thomas

  Trevor Gene Thomas was born on April 18, 1995 to Tye Thomas and Maliena Mattox Grever in Nampa, Idaho. He spent his childhood split between living with his Mom, Stepdad Jeff, Sisters Amber and Kassidy in Middleton and living with Dad, Stepmom Donna, Brother Tristan, and Sister Kasandra in Caldwell.

  As a child Trevor enjoyed playing baseball and football which he did through middle school. He looked forward to the summer when he could go camping with his family. He also was a skilled swimmer and became lifeguard certified. Whenever he had the chance, he enjoyed going to concerts and cherished the time it allowed him to spend with his sisters and friends. When there was an adventure to be had, he was all in. That led to him traveling and even skydiving. It was easy for Trevor to make friends because wherever he went his infectious smile and twinkling eyes lit up the room and people were drawn to him. Trevor was kind and he was accepting of all. When it came to his family and friends he was a fierce protector and advocate. Trevor was a fighter! When he was a young boy he had to fight cancer. He won! During that fight he was given the opportunity to attend Camp Rainbow Gold which he thoroughly enjoyed. He even got to fly a Cessna airplane there. As Trevor got older he had to fight for his life in other ways. He fought valiantly!

   Trevor’s most prized accomplishment was his daughter, Emmy. He loved her with his whole soul. It was his desire to be with her whenever he could. While it appears that he lost his final battle in life, it is not over! Trevor is now in heaven where he can watch over Emmy and protect her in ways he could not here. Emmy now has her very own guardian angel.

  Trevor is preceded in death by his Grandfather William Thomas and Uncle Timothy Thomas.

  He is survived by his daughter Emmy, Parents Maliena & Jeff Grever and Tye & Joy Thomas, Sisters Amber (Blake) Grever, Kassidy (Levi) Grever, Kasandra (Ryan) Almarez, Brother Tristan Thomas, Step Siblings Amber, Nicole, Courtney, Grant, Holly, Jaycee, Rebekah, Grandparents Morris and Lenora Mattox, Grandmother Patricia Thomas, Nephew Weston, Niece Kaycee, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Our sweet Trevor is going to be sorely missed as he was greatly loved!

  Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Chapel in Caldwell.  Interment will follow at Middleton Cemetery.
