Obituary of Allen B Stone

The greatest man I ever knew! He just happened to be my Dad.

My dad, Allen Stone, was born in August 1932 and grew up in South Central Los Angeles with his best friends Gus Doze and George Rosales. He had been with my Mom, Dorsey Stone since he was 14 years old and my Mom passed away seven years ago from lung cancer. His childhood pet was his dog “Blackie”. My Dad served in the U.S. Army in Korea and survived.

Although we all have tribulations and trials in life my dad always said if he can get out the Korean War alive the rest of his life would be gravy and it was just as he said. My mom, Dorsey and Dad tried for ten years to have a child and finally had me, their only child in March of 1961.

My dad has been riding and racing motorcycles out in the desert for the majority of his life. He also enjoyed being in the mountains and desert. My dad took me backpacking for a week when I was 6 years old and I also began riding in the desert at that age. My lifelong love of anything with two wheels: BMX, mountain bikes, road bikes and especially anything motorcycle related still drives my life to this day because of my dad, thank you Dad.  My Dad despised religious garbage just as I do. My Dad had a love of God and Jesus Christ ever since he fell in love with the Lord in a fox hole in Korea. God answered his prayer and kept him safe and happy and gave him a non religious love of God and life. Thank you Dad for giving me a life long example of how to love and walk in faith and love as only God can.

My Dad grew up helping his father in the upholstery shop in the heart of Watts, Calfiornia and later sold auto and life insurance and eventually all types of insurance and then went in to caring for developmentally disabled girls and my Mom in their home for twenty years before retiring and moving to Idaho seventeen years ago to be near their son and grandchildren Chris Allen Stone Jr. and Cassandra Stone. I have always commented that my Dad has always been the best communicator I have ever met and can talk to any and all people across all cultural lines and ages with interesting conversation about any and all topic and subjects. Like I have always said since March 28, 1983, “Thank you Dear Heavenly Father for giving me the best Mom and Dad that you could have given me, thank you so much.”

All – ALL living things including people have bodies that pass away. It’s part of the deal when we are born that we will die at some unknown time, but our spirits are eternal and live eternally. Just as in Birth and death is hard but beautiful and part of God’s plan for all. Please be happy for my Dad. He had an awesome life and could not ask for any more or any longer. The saying life and death is so so wrong. Birth and death go together. Life is what we do between birth and death. My Dad had a great life for 91 years, Praise God.

My Dad now has peace of mind, no war thoughts anymore. He is with Jesus Christ and His Father God. He is with my mom and his mom and dad and Blackie. He is being thanked by lots of great men that he stayed with as their bodies died in Korea. I have an awesome life now and always because of you Daddy. I totally love my life and whenever it is my time for my human body to die, I look forward to joining you and mom and our primary way of life in the Sprirtual realm. Thank you Dad I’m so happy for you and mom. Say hi to God and Jesus and Auntie Stella and Fay tooo.

Too good to be forgotten.

Love you, Dad. I’m so happy and appreciative and greatful for your new phase of life.
