Edward Adler

Obituary of Edward John Adler

He was born on a farm near Morrison Oklahoma, one of seven children born to Albert & Delila Adler.

He started school at the age of five at Shiloh School in Noble County. He attended Shiloh School from the first through the eighth grade, then he went Morrison High School, Noble County. He dropped out of school in the 11th grade and joined the Marine Corps at the age of seventeen (1946 -1947).  Returning home from the Marines, he went back to school at Morrison and graduated.

He met his wife Ina Bull while attending school at Morrison. They were married and celebrated 75 years marriage.  They had two sons John (Ric) R. Adler and William (Bill) R. Adler. They moved from Morrison to Muskogee, Oklahoma where he worked for Taystee Bakery for 6 years. From there, they moved to Idaho in 1956 and went to work for Idaho Concrete. After 30 years at Idaho Concrete, he went into the antique business until retirement.

In 1945 his brother Robert and him made a bus trip to Idaho to see their grandparents and they spent the summer working in the fields, this created a desire to move to Idaho, for the hunting and fishing and exploring the old mining towns and camps of southwest Idaho.

Preceding him in death are his parents Albert & Delila Adler, brothers Lonnie and Robert and son William (Bill) Adler.

He is survived by his wife Ina Adler, son Ric (Carol) brothers Jim (Alba) Harold (Ellen) Terry (Loann) and sister Betty Tollman(Ron). Three grand daughters, Leslie (John) Doerr, Kari (Ben) Swanson, Nachele (Eric) Seuss.

Eight great grandchildren, Ian, Marci, Mason Doerr, Austin, Jackson, Colton (deceased) Swanson, Ethan, Corbin Seuss.  Five great-great grandchildren Juliana, Emmeline, William, Archer, and Everett Shell.

Funeral services will be held November 4th at Flahiff Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho at 3 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Warhawk Air Museum at 201 Municipal Drive, Nampa, Idaho, or the charity of your choice.
