Obituary of Larry Fredrickson

Lawrence “Larry” A. Fredrickson, 76, of Middleton, Idaho went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born in Havre, Montana and grew up in Wolf Point, Montana. He graduated from Wolf Point High School and studied Bookkeeping/Accounting at Kinman Business University in Spokane Washington. Shortly after, he met MaryEtta and they had 56 wonderful years together. They moved to Middleton in 1977 where they raised their 4 daughters. Larry enjoyed volunteering with the Middleton Fire Department in the early years and loved his community. He also enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. He was a long-term member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the choir, participating in Church commitees over the years, and cherished his church family. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather who loved spending time with his family . In retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling with life long friends. They traveled to many states the last few years.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife MaryEtta Fredrickson; his daughters, Mary Kay (Dean), Tina (Eric), Becky, and Khaseta; his grandchildren, Latonia, Robert Jr., Brandee, Jeffrey, Kersten, Danny Jr., Aureona, Tori, Colton, Tawni, Alli, and Christian; his great-grandchildren, Colmin, Marcus, Sophia, Kyler, Tyler, Dawson, Decimus, Alton, Oakleigh, Daximus, Maximus, Evalynn, Alayah, Karsyn, Callahan, and Emersyn; his siblings, Joni Kuntz, Linda Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Margaret McNally, and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Alvina Fredrickson; his step-mother Bertha Fredrickson; his son-in-law, Chad “Hoss” Grigg; and his grandchild Troy Thomas.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2023 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel located at 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell, Idaho.

The service will be at 11:30 a.m. on May 16, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2700 S. Kimball, Caldwell, Idaho.  Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Middleton Cemetery, 23660 Cemetery Road, Middleton, Idaho. If you wish to participate in the procession, please gather at Grace Lutheran Church at 9:15 a.m., the procession will leave at 9:30 a.m.
