Obituary of Jill Ann Arrasmith

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jill Ann Arrasmith, due to an inoperable brain aneurysm that occurred on May 2, 2023, she was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. She lived a full and vibrant life until her peaceful departure. Her loss is deeply felt by her family and friends, who will remember her for her spunky personality, loyalty to family, and fun sense of humor.

Jill was born January 11, 1953, to John and Thelma Burns in Grand Island, Nebraska. She was the oldest of three children.  She attended Grand Island Senior High where she met the love of her life, Steve Arrasmith, their senior year.  They both graduated in 1971 and were later married October 7, 1972.

Jill and Steve started their family in Grand Island before moving to Middleton, Idaho in 1978.  Jill stayed home to raise her two boys and loved being a mother. Her family was the most important thing to her, she spent countless hours cheering for her boys at the many sporting events they were involved in, which continued when she became a grandmother.  Her home was a place of comfort and fun; always decorated for every season.  Jill went above and beyond to create a welcoming environment for everyone who entered.

Throughout her life, Jill had a love of flowers which led her to owning and operating her own shop, My Country Nook.  She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother, who always put the needs of her family first.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family, who take solace in the knowledge that her life was full and well-lived. Though she will be dearly missed, her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Burns, Brother, Mike Burns, and granddaughter Morgan Jill Arrasmith.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Steve Arrasmith of Caldwell, sons Nate (Jan) Arrasmith of Caldwell, Seth (Kim) Arrasmith of McCall.  Grandchildren Paige, Carter, Paytan, Sydney, and Dayne Arrasmith.
