Obituary of Nichole Therese Robinson

Nichole Therese Robinson left this earthly life peacefully on April 1, 2023, at the age of 51, in the loving presence of her husband, family, and friends after bravely fighting a painful battle with cancer. Nichole will forever be remembered as a loving, kind and compassionate human being who was constantly thinking of others and giving of herself. She was a wonderful friend and confidante to many and a "second mother" to almost as many, always ready to lend a compassionate ear and sound guidance. Nichole was born on January 27th, 1972, in Caldwell, Idaho to Sheila Hopkins Robinson and Daniel Robinson. Her childhood was filled with many memories of adventures with her grandparents near Orofino, ID. These trips inspired in her a strong love for the great outdoors. In 1984, at the age of 12, she moved with her mother and siblings to Albuquerque, NM, upset that she would not be close to her extended family and able to babysit her cousins. After graduating from Manzano High School in 1991, she joined the Navy, serving in San Diego, Guam and Oak Harbor as a Corpsman. Upon her discharge from the Navy in 1998, she returned to Albuquerque where she continued her service by working at the VA Hospital. The training she received while in the Navy was just shy of being an LPN. She loved helping the vets under her care and throughout her life would often stop whatever she was doing to go out of her way to thank a Veteran for his or her service. In 2000, twin sons, Jacob and Joseph Sukhon arrived. Nichole cherished her responsibilities as a mother, delighting in making holiday and school events memorable for them. She was their number one cheerleader. She was also a devoted aunt to her nephews and niece, making them feel special every chance she got. She returned to Idaho in 2006, following her twin sister, Michele Christensen, whose bond as a twin was always special. Many deliciously happy moments occurred when she and her twin sister hosted an event. No one left hungry and the food was superb! She was president of Kuna Trail Riders and a member of Canyon County ATV club. In 2010, Nichole was given the opportunity to live a life beyond any expectations. Her new outlook on the world gave her the chance to be the best mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend anyone could want. In 2011, she met the love of her life, Randy Bollingberg. Together, they created a world of their shared passions; family, dogs, camping, ATV riding, and supporting others in their journey of recovery from addiction. After a 9-year courtship, they were quietly married on December 30th, 2022, in Boise, ID. Nichole is survived by her husband, Randy K. Bollingberg; mother, Sheila Hopkins Robinson; sons, Jacob W. Sukhon and Joseph N. Sukhon and “adopted“ son, Antonio Fifita; siblings, Michele Christensen (Jesse) and K. Kameron Robinson (Brandon); nephews, Gregory H. Robinson, James A. Christensen; and niece, Ashley C. Christensen (Darin). A celebration of life will be held at First Christian Church, 619 12th Ave South, Nampa, ID at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 13th, 2023, with a memorial celebration following at The Brick Office, 7 N 9th Ave, Nampa, ID.
