Obituary of Bessie Elaine Clark

Bessie Elaine (Driskell) Clark, 71, of  Caldwell, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at a Caldwell Care Center.

Bessie was born on April 13, 1951 to Charley and Edna Driskell in Caldwell, Idaho.  She grew up in the Wilder area and attended school in Wilder, graduating in 1969. After high school she attended cosmetology school. After graduating cosmetology school, she worked as a beautician in the Caldwell area for many years. She later worked for Symms Fruit Ranch. Bessie married William Clark on November 22, 1996. William passed away on August 28, 2001.

Bessie loved family gatherings whether it was a large get-together during the holidays or a smaller family gathering for a taco feed. Her favorite was joining family members at the Golden Palace Restaurant for Chinese Food every Saturday evening for many, many years.

Bessie was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband William; sisters Ida Sloan and Alberta Hodges; brothers Dean Driskell , Darel Driskell, Eldon Driskell and John Driskell. She is survived by her sisters; Daisy (Wallace) Clinton and Janiece (Clifton) Collins and a brother Melvin (Jana) Driskell. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, ID.
