Obituary of Lily Kay Garrard

  Lily Kay Garrard of Marsing, Idaho, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on November 2, 2022. Lily was born to Ward and Catarina Leslie on August 13, 1939.

Lily married the love of her life Donald Garrard on June 5, 1959 in Carrizozo, New Mexico. She returned to school, graduating from high school in 1960.

  Lily was a very active member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Jordan Valley, Oregon.

Jordan Valley was a very special place to her. She loved the community and her friends there. After losing her husband of 51 years she moved to Marsing, Idaho to be closer to her family.

She cherished the time she had with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed hobbies with her grandchildren such as collecting rocks, planting flowers, going for walks, riding horses, cross country skiing, coloring, puzzles, playing games and feeding the hummingbirds that she so enjoyed watching. Lily had an amazing sense of humor. We were all so blessed to be a part of her life.

  Lily is survived by her children: Roy Garrard of Spring Creek, NV; Debra (Lowell) Lynde of Marsing, Idaho; Leslie (Carla Guerrero) Garrard of Spring Creek, NV; Nadine Garrard of Portland, OR; Diana Williams of Spring Creek, NV; daughter-in-law Brenda Garrard of Ontario, OR; her grandchildren: Jennifer Lynde of Marsing, ID; Joni (Jeremy) Wood of Marsing, ID; Jamie (Patrick) Malmberg of New Plymouth, ID; Jessica Garrard of Portland, OR; Steven Garrard; Jessica (Jerry) Ryan of Strasburg, CO; Shawna (Mike) Osuna of Reno, NV; Jackie Clabaugh of Lowman, ID; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Myrtle Osborne of Pagosa Spring, CO; Betty (Jake) Huffman of Terrel, TX and sister-in-law Barbra Fisher and Doreen Dixon of Roy, UT and many nieces and nephews.

  Lily was preceded in death by her husband Donald Garrard; son Troy Garrard; son-in-law Stan Williams; parents Ward and Catrina Leslie; brother Robert Leslie; sister Bessie Griffin; sister Callie Thompson; brother Charles Leslie; sister Jessie Torrence; brother Johnnie Leslie and a very near and dear niece Teena Underwood.

  Viewing will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho on Wednesday November 9, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
