Obituary of Joseph D Mays

Joseph Donald Mays was born to Arletta Hardin and Dan Mays in Bakersfield, California on August 12, 1948. He died October 21, 2022 in Caldwell, Idaho at 74 years old. He is survived by his sons Danny, Dustin, Michael, and Joseph Mays and his daughter, Sarah Keck, as well as his sister, Marie Swall. He is preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his brother, Glenn Mays. Joe was a lover of books and shared that love with his children and grandchildren. He was a compassionate friend, beloved father, and all-around wonderful guy. As a veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country with honor. He was a great cook, and enjoyed fishing and long drives through the Owyhees. He will be missed. His family will hold a memorial service for him at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho on Saturday, November 5^{th at 11:00 am.}
