Obituary of Shirley Elaine Reichert Carr

  Our beautiful mother sadly passed away May 22, 2022 at the age of 88; she was surrounded by her loving family.

  Before moving to Nampa in 2001 she and her husband lived in the Roy/Ogden Utah area. During these years she started her career as a nurse’s aide at Weber County Memorial hospital, later through education and training she became an occupational therapist. She had developed many therapy aids that are now incorporated in standard therapy today. Her patients loved her kindness and caring ways which she helped many to regain their mobility. She retired after 20 years.

  Mom had many friends whom she loved and was thought of in both communities.

  Mom also had a passion for oil painting, which many are displayed in our homes today. Her other achievement was instilling love, compassion, honesty and hard work to her children and grandchildren.

  She is survived by her three children Debra Cope, Michael (Lydia) Carr and Peggy Dunn (Stephen) deceased; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her mother Edna Grace, December 17, 1978; husband Donald Carr, December 26, 2007; and brother Neil Reichert, January 17, 2020.

 Mom wished to be cremated and returned to Bear Lake Utah where she had many happy and serene memories of the cabin and family surrounded by nature.

  Rest in peace Mom, you live in our hearts till we meet again.
