Obituary of Angelita Purifica Gonzalez

Angelita (Chita) P. Gonzalez passed away peacefully in her home in Wilder ID on September 5^th, 2022. Chita was born on October 2^nd, 1945, in La Joya, TX to Natividad Limas and Soila Reyna. Chita was the second youngest of her siblings. Chita had 5 siblings, Pepe, Leonardo, Sara, Ricardo and Mellie. Chita got her education in La Joya TX. There she met her husband of 60 years, Jose Gonzalez.

Jose and Chita married in March of 1962, in La Joya TX. Jose and Chita lived in Wilder ID for a bit then moved to various cities in CA. They settled in Chico CA. where they raised their 3 children, Anna (Francisco-deceased) Rodriguez, Soila (Santiago) Contreras and Jose Jr (Mirtha) Gonzalez. In 1985 they moved back to Wilder ID. Chita worked in various jobs, such as a farm laborer, nurse’s aide and housekeeping.

Chita enjoyed being surrounded by her family. Chita is survived by her husband, her 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 sister and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Chita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, 1 sister.

Viewing will begin at 10:00am Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 noon at the Chapel. Burial will take place at Wilder Cemetery.
