Obituary of Marina Isela Ybarra

Our Beloved Marina Isela Ybarra (Nina) passed away on August 10, 2022, in Boise, ID.

Nina was born June 6, 1983, in Caldwell, ID and attended Caldwell schools. Nina was the youngest of 12 kids and grew up in Caldwell where she enjoyed participating in Karate, Boxing, Soccer, Tackle Football, and Wrestling; where she competed against boys and excelled at these sports.

Nina had a remarkably close bond with her family and was especially close to her Mama Bear Mary, Her sister Cruz, and Brother Leon. Nina was always the life of every gathering, where she always showed up wearing a brand-new t-shirt and the cleanest shoes. Nina could usually be located by her contagious laugh, which you could always hear before you could see her.

Nina loved listening to and singing a wide variety of music which included Tejano, old school hip hop, and Janis Joplin. She especially enjoyed watching and supporting her brother-in-Law Joel and his band Tejano Outlaw perform over the years. She also enjoyed playing video games, attending family gatherings, traveling, going to concerts, riding her motorcycle, and shooting her guns. Nina enjoyed spending time with her beloved Nieces and Nephews, who she adored and spoiled rotten, and she could always be found attending and supporting them in everything that they did. Nina also enjoyed her time with her partner Daisy and their fur babies as well as her sissy time. Nina had the biggest heart and a sense of humor that lit up the room and was contagious.

Nina was in employed at WICAP for several years, where she made a tremendous impact on the lives of those that needed help, even if was using her own resources. Nina went especially out of her way to help the elderly folks and residents of the Women’s shelter that specifically sought out Nina for help. Her most recent job was T-Mobile in Meridian for the last 4 years, where she was always a top performer and was loved and adored by her co-workers and supervisors.
