Obituary of Sharon Ann Grove

  Sharon Ann Grove, 85, of Nampa, formerly of Middleton, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at a care facility.  She was born on July 27, 1937 in Mobridge, South Dakota, to Herman and Mildred (Habeck) Naasz.  She had one younger brother Doug.

  Sharon graduated from Caldwell High School in 1955, and shortly after married a high school sweetheart, Harold A. Grove.  Together they enjoyed 48 years of marriage and to this union had three children, Milo, Missy and Lindy.

  She attended secretarial school in Salt Lake City, Utah and later moved to Seattle.  The gray skies in Washington weren’t to her liking and after four years they moved back to Idaho, settling in Middleton; where she stayed until moving to Beehive Assisted Living in Nampa 9 months ago.  She worked as a secretary for the Stampede office until her sight deteriorated to the point she couldn’t work anymore in the early 70s.

  Sharon loved dancing, sewing and quilting – especially rag quilts – and baking.  Her children were delighted to receive peanut butter fingers on birthdays and fruit cakes at Christmas, and everyone always wanted their own chocolate pie when she made them.  She also enjoyed fishing trips to Crane Creek near Midvale as well as other areas.  She loved travelling in their motorhome and the adventures it brought.  They stayed nearly a month in Kansas waiting for repairs to be done to the motorhome. After Harold’s death in 2008, Sharon did her best to live on her own. 

  She is survived by her children Milo (Laura) Grove, Missy (Rick) Burns and Lindy Stafford; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Doug (Patti) Naasz of Mabank, TX.  Her family would like to thank Beehive Assisted Living for their dedicated care for the last 9 months.

  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Middleton Cemetery.
