Amy Wilson

Obituary of Amy Sue Wilson

Amy Sue (Greenwalt) Wilson, 43, of Nampa passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her home. Viewing services will be held July 25th from. 2pm-4pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell Idaho.

Amy was born on March 22, 1979, in Nampa, Idaho to parents, Dennis Greenwalt and Judy Sorg. She spent much of her childhood in close connection to family, specifically her parents, two brothers Chad Greenwalt, Karl Sorg, and her sister Deena LaBronte. She attended public schools in Nampa and on the playground and afterschool, Amy quickly established herself as an outgoing, high-spirited person.

Throughout life, she met her late husband, Ron L Wilson and they quickly fell in love & got married. Sadly In 2017, she lost her husband Ron, and she was heartbroken since, but she knew she had to stay strong for herself and for her family. She loved him more than words can explain. In life they were inseparable and now they can continue to be together in spirit.

As an adult, Amy acted as a mother and caretaker to many. She helped raise and mentor three stepsons, Richard, Ramiro Jr, and Fernando Martinez, and in 1998, Amy welcomed her first and only daughter, Cecilia Maribel Martinez. Amy also took care of ailing family members and friends in addition to tending to her dog of many years, Athena.

Amy’s caring spirit was complemented by a cheerful presence that would bring smiles and laughter to what otherwise would be gloomy days. In recent years, Amy committed herself to working in customer service and to caring for her granddaughters Lakayta and Levael Lynn, her granddaughters will, no doubt, miss their grandma’s amazing cooking, fun outings, and her hilarious attempts to sing country western ballads.

Amy is survived by a large family & lots of friends who all loved & cared for her greatly. She will be missed by everyone

"So, promise me that you'll be waiting to greet me from the side. Eternal life, as man and wife, is worth all this pain inside."- Amy Sue Wilson.
