Obituary of Felipe Zamora

Felipe "Chuca" De Jesus Zamora, 79, of Wilder, Idaho passed away Wednesday, the 25th of May at home with family. He was proceeded in death by his nephew Juan Manuel Zamora of Wilder, brother Manuel Villareal Zamora of Wilder, sister Irene De Rose of Wilder, and his wife Gloria Zamora also of Wilder.

Chuca was born in Robstown, Texas on February 5, 1943 to Manuel Zamora of Victoria, Texas and Alvessa Villareal of Inex, Texas. The family consisted of Irene De Rose, Roberto Zamora, Odelia Quezada, Ramiro Zamora, Manuel Villareal Zamora, Felipe De Jesus Zamora, Richard Zamora, Romero Zamora and Albessa Zamora.

In 1958, Manuel moved the family permanently to Idaho. In the years prior the family spent time following the work across the south and up to Idaho. Manuel and Alvessa raised their children to be hard workers and Felipe grew up to understand the value of a dollar. He knew what it meant to be a hard working man. All of the Zamora boys drove truck, either in the fields hauling agriculture or OTR hauling potatoes, corn, wheat, and sugar beets.

In 1960, Felipe married Maria Elvia Musquiz of Robstown, Texas. She bore him 3 sons. Felipe De Jesus, Jr., 60 of Castro Valley, California, Daniel Zamora, 58, of Acworth, Georgia, and Orlando Zamora, 56 of Robstown, Texas and Wilder, Idaho. Felipe was very proud of his 3 eldest sons. He loved them very much.

In November of 1971, Felipe re-married to Gloria Rodgriguez of Chicago, Illinois. They met while working for Top Farms in Wilder. Gloria always said it was love at first sight. She bore him 2 children. Alicia Wages, 50 of Wilder, Idaho and Gabriel Felipe Zamora, 48 of Wilder. He enjoyed taking his family with him while hauling potatoes for Batt Trucking of Caldwell, Idaho or planting pine trees for the Idaho Forestry Division. They would travle all across the west and southwest in their camper and visit family. Felipe loved his two children very much.

Most people knew Chuca was a truck driver and crew boss, but few knew he was an avid golfer. He loved golfing with his sons and brothers Richard and Romero Zamora. They enjoyed their time on the links and especially enjoyed the comradery of brothers and family.

Felipe also owned a trucking company, Zamora & Son, LLC with his son, Gabriel.
