Criselda Leos

Obituary of Criselda Leos

Our beloved mother Criselda Leos passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children on May 3, 2022.

Criselda was born on August 16, 1951 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Encarnacion and Guadalupe Nunez.  She was the youngest of the family which consisted of five older sisters and one older brother: Lupe, Noe, Anita, Minerva, Reyna and Angelica.

Mom’s life journey began when she married Enrique Leos on August 21, 1970 in Brownsville, Texas. From this union 5 children were born: Enrique Jr. Antonio, Robert, Aucencia and Cristina Leos.  Mom and dad spent many years residing in Chicago, Illinois until making Idaho their forever home in 1984. She worked for many years at Crookham’s Seed Company and made many friends along the way until finally retiring alongside with dad in 2013.

Anyone who knew Criselda knew that her personality was best recognized by her home décor, her handmade doilies, her crochet blankets, every family picture frame she hung up on the walls (trust me there was a lot), but above all this greatness what she adored the most was her family.  She enjoyed visits from the grandkids and great-grandkids always welcoming everyone with open arms or even offering a plate of food and let me tell ya her tacos and quesadillas were the best.

Mom’s courage and strength till the end will forever live on in us. We are who we are in life due to her amazing love. Her legacy will continue to grow.  Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with such an amazing woman.

John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

Criselda is survived by her husband Enrique of 51 years; her children, 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, a nephew, and her grandson Esai.

Our mother will forever be in our hearts, always remembered and never forgotten. We love you mama!!
