Obituary of Jo Ann Smith

CALDWELL — Jo Ann (Scott) Smith, 78, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, just 5 days pri or to her 79th birthday. Jo Ann was born Jessie Joan Scott on March 25, 1943, to Foy Eldridge and Verla Hope (Bell) Scott in Douglas County, Missouri. The family moved to Idaho in July 1944 settling in the Parma, Idaho area. Jo Ann was a longtime em ployee and retiree of Inter mountain Gas Company in Caldwell and Boise, Idaho. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Stella Nadine (Scott) Hodge; her pater nal grandparents William David and Rosa Etta (Matlock) Scott; and her maternal grandparents Frank and Parlee Jane (Reece) Bell. She is survived by her son, Kevin of Caldwell, Idaho; her brother William Franklin (Bill) Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 23rd start ing at 12:00 pm. at Mallard Park, Shelter #2, 15200 S. 10th Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho. Jo Ann loved all animals big and small, especially her dogs Hannah, Finn, and Daisy. In lieu of flow ers please make a donation, in Jo Ann’s memory, to the Idaho Humane Society, 1300 S.
