Obituary of Juan Manuel Zamora

Juan Manuel (“Manny”) Zamora of Wilder, Idaho died suddenly of natural causes on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the age of 60 years old. He was born on March 25, 1961, at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital to Ramiro “El Nueve” Zamora and Paula Gonzalez – both of Wilder, Idaho.

A long-time resident of the Treasure Valley area, Manny grew up in Wilder, where he married Diana Renteria of Homedale, on March 20, 1980. Together, they had two beautiful daughters by the names of Victoria and Nicole. Shortly after the birth of their second child, the family relocated to Dutch Harbor, Alaska in July of 1988 where they resided together for 10 years. A time he cherished greatly.

A private man – Manny loved baseball, his family, and a good laugh. An avid softball enthusiast, he had the privilege of playing with many close friends and family members on various local teams throughout the years. While playing and coaching, he also won many awards, including 2nd place in Idaho State Latino Softball Tournament Family Division in 2019, 2nd place in the Percifield Memorial Co-Ed Softball Tournament in 2016, and 3rd place in the Caldwell Co-Ed Recreation Softball Silver Division in 2011. He was also a talented artist who spent his free time drawing images for his family and friends.

He is survived by his two daughters, Victoria Zamora (37) and Nicole Zamora Harvey (34), his three granddaughters Marley (14), Nikole Luna (9), Marissa (8), and his three remaining siblings, Jaynie Lopez, Annabell Varner, and Ramiro Zamora Jr. He was loved deeply by his family, and he will be missed.
