Obituary of Mardelle Shinn

Mardelle Shinn passed peacefully, with family by her side, on December 11, 2021. Mardelle was born on May 6, 1942, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Bud and Bessie Stephens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a good friend to many.

After enjoying her childhood in North Idaho her family moved to Nampa, where she graduated high school in 1960. Later, she married Clifford Wayne Shinn on February 14, 1965. They lived in Boise until 1996 when they moved to Cambridge, Idaho. In 2012, they moved to Nampa and then to Lenity Senior Living in Caldwell in 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Keith and Wayne, and son Steve.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years; sons Jeff (Zareena) and Aaron (Georgann); grandchildren Randie, Buck, Zane, and Elise; sister Kathy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mardelle will be remembered for her love for Jesus and her love for people. She was active in her church, assisted with AWANA and Rodeo Bible Camp, and served as a counselor at Shiloh Bible camp for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1829 Iowa Ave, Nampa.
