Rebecca Salgado

Obituary of Rebecca "Bebe" Salgado

My mom was an Angel here, and now in Heaven.  No matter what, she made sure her family was okay, and she loved her grandkids with all her heart. We took a trip to Burley last month to visit my Grandma. It was just her and I, and it felt so good spending time together. She loved Grandma's homemade tortillas; we each took two dozen home, they were that good!

We had good times, and bad times; we struggled in life, but always overcame any obstacles together. She was my mom and dad, and that was not easy for a single parent. I will make sure I tell her grandkids all the stories we had, good and bad, because they will never see, or feel the struggle we went through together.  I made her proud, and will continue to do my best - Lord knows I try.  Life is too short for hate, so all I'm going do is love. “Together we stand, without each other we fall,” is how she carried herself.

She loved the rain, long walks, and her Tejano music and oldies. Iced coffee, or hot - she loved it. She was a big Dallas Cowboy fan! And her jewelry was a must. Love you, Mom. She was always reading the Bible; she loved her Lord and the Holy Spirit.

I guess she touched everyone's life she needed to know. She's finally in her paradise, looking over her friends and family now. Until we see you again, I love you, Mom!

Your Son, Eli
