Obituary of Helen May Simineo
She was 82, and lived in Parma, Idaho. Helen started and ended life in Idaho, with many adventures in between. She was born in Twin Falls, lived near Castleford & Buhl, later moving to Emmett and Caldwell. While working at JR Simplot, she met and then married the love of her life, E. Lawrence (Larry) Simineo on 4-15-1959 (officially), and ceremonially on 4-24-1959. They lived in Caldwell, Idaho; Orem, Utah; Sunnyvale, California, Tonawanda, New York, and returned to farming in Middleton, Idaho in 1974, with their daughter, Robin. Always a worker, avid reader, horse and animal lover, Helen helped manage first their home, later their farm, and after Larry's death, continued to farm on her own. She worked for a time at Simplot as a supervisor, and later at Walmart as a checker. She made many friends along the way.
"Grandma Horses" was preceded in death by her husband, E. Lawrence (Larry) Simineo (1987), her parents, Ira (Jack) Knapp Stewart (1969), Edith Marie Johnson (1979), sister, Fay M. Stewart Thompson (2001), and grandson, Joseph William Callahan (1983). She is survived by her daughter, Robin, Dan Callahan, grandchildren & great grandchildren Trina, Jonathan Hunter; Reilly, Jessieanna, Daniel & Jase Bowles (all from Middleton, Idaho): Jacob, Brenn, Maylee, Raelyn & Elias Callahan (Green River, Wyoming): Amanda, Kent & Kaden Seward (Parma, Idaho). Her sisters, Norma Gradwohl, (Vancouver, Washington), and Janice, Terry Zesiger (Parma, Idaho), and many nieces & nephews.
At Helen’s request, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the church of your choice or to Pet Haven.
