Mollie Fields

Obituary of Mollie Patricia Fields

Mollie Patricia (most commonly, Patricia) Fields, 79, of Nampa, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at a local hospital. Arrangements are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833

Mom was born May 2, 1941 to Arthur and Molly Boyle in San Francisco, California. Her father, being a Naval Officer, caused the family to move around during her youth. When he retired, they settled in Boise, Idaho.

After Mom graduated from high school, she moved back to California to live her best life.

She moved back to Idaho in the early 70’s to raise her family.

Mom was a powerhouse. She was fiercely independent, driven and self-made.

She tried out a few careers until she found Associated Foods. Mom started as a Data Entry Clerk and worked her way up the IT ladder until her retirement. Mom loved her job because it gave her the opportunity to travel all over Idaho.

Mom was beautiful inside and out. She loved gardening, trying new recipes, and going on road trips to “rock hound” or go “junking”.

Mom’s greatest joy was being a Grandma. And she was the best Grandma anyone could ask for.

There was never a time she wasn’t there for her children and grandchildren who she loved with every fiber of her being.

Words cannot express the loss we all feel, how much we are going to miss her laugh and the birthday phone calls she made (usually by 6 am) to sing “Happy Birthday” to each of us.

Mom was proceeded in death by her parents, Art and Molly Boyle and her daughter, Wendy Howard.

Survivors include her son, Steve Fields; daughter, Cindy Fields-Belveal; grandchildren: Zackery, Ashley, Alex, Brenner, Hannah and Aaron.
