Obituary of Manuel G. Casas

  Manuel G. Casas of Caldwell passed away of natural causes on Friday, October 02, 2020, at the age of 90.  He was born November 03, 1929 in General Terán, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married Maria Galvan (deceased) to which they had seven (7) children; Gerardo, Jose Antonio, Juan Manuel (deceased), Samuel, Raul, Martin Guadalupe, and daughter Martha who all reside in Mexico.  He had a daughter with Paula Aguilar (deceased) Cris Guajardo (Gilberto) who resides in Idaho.

   He was preceded in death by his father Gaspar Casas Lechuga and his mother Maria Cruz. Brothers; Enrique, Francisco, Agustin. Sisters; Maria Concepcion, Griselda, and Irma. He is survived by brothers, Ruben, Valdemar, Gaspar, and Gilberto.  He is survived by longtime companion Estella Aguayo, stepdaughters Maria Aguayo and Christina Villalobos.  Twenty-four (24) grandkids as well as twenty-nine (29) great grandkids.

   Although Manuel was raised in Mexico, in 1956 at the age of 27 he came to the United States and in 1995, at the age of 66 he became a U.S. Citizen. Manuel has traveled and worked throughout the U.S. until he settled in Idaho. He enjoyed his position of Forklift Driver and made many friends at Simplot for 29 years until he had retired at the age of 69.

Since retiring he enjoyed spending his time with his grandson Alonzo (Christina) and granddaughter Natalie.

Manuel G. Casas de Caldwell falleció por causas naturales el Viernes 02 de Octubre de 2020, a la edad de 90 años. Nació el 03 de Noviembre de 1929 en General Terán, Nuevo León, México. Se casó con María Galván (fallecida) y tuvieron siete (7) hijos; Gerardo, José Antonio, Juan Manuel (fallecido), Samuel, Raúl, Martín Guadalupe y Martha quienes residen en México.  Tuvo una hija con Paula Aguilar (fallecida); Cris Guajardo (Gilberto) quien reside en Idaho.

 Le precedieron en la muerte su padre Gaspar Casas Lechuga y su madre María Cruz. Hermanos; Enrique, Francisco, Agustín. Hermanas María Concepción, Griselda y Irma. Le sobreviven hermanos; Ruben, Valdemar, Gaspar y Gilberto. Le sobrevive su compañera de sus ultimos momentos Estella Aguayo y hijastras, Maria Aguayo y Christina Villalobos. Veinte cuatros (24) nietos y veintinueve (29) bisnietos.

 Aunque Manuel se crió en México, en 1956 a los 27 años llegó a los Estados Unidos y en 1995, a los 66 años se convirtió en ciudadano de Estados Unidos. Manuel ha viajado y trabajado por todo Estados Unidos hasta que se estableció en Idaho. Disfrutó de su puesto de conductor de montacargas y hizo muchos amigos en la compania de Simplot durante 29 años hasta que se jubiló a los 69 años. Desde que se jubiló disfrutó pasar tiempo con su nieto Alonzo (Christina) y nieta Natalie.

 El velorio y el rosario se llevarán a cabo el miércoles 07 de octubre de 2020 de 5:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en Flahiff Funeral Chapel en Caldwell, ID. El servicio se llevará a cabo el jueves 08 de octubre de 2020 en Flahiff Funeral Chapel en Caldwell, ID a las 11:00 a.m.
