Obituary of Carol Christine Ortega

Carol Christine Ortega, 75, died at 9:05 P.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 surrounded by her children.

A viewing will be held at 11:30 A.M on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. A family led ceremony filled with memories, scriptures and stories of love will preside during the time of the viewing.

Carol  was a woman after Gods heart. She had devoted her life to three passions. Jesus, her family and nursing. Her life was selfless and with love endless. As a nurse, she had specialized in neonatal care. Each tiny life that she was gifted to care for, was transformed into a treasured story that she would share her family. Carol always saw the beauty within, every day, no matter the events. She was able to teach the lessons to her girls as God’s blessings. With her family, she was a devoted wife ,who loved her husband unconditionally. She taught her family beyond spoken lessons, often she taught them through her unconditional, unwavering and, at times undeserved love. To her family she was a  treasure.

Carol Christine (Souders) Ortega was born on December 21, 1944. She was precede in death by her sister Leigha Homer, her beloved husband, Enoch Ortega, her granddaughter Stephanie Bowman,  her parents Donald and Edna Souders, and her grandson Thomas Leming, Carol is survived by her brother and sister in love, Jim and Marilyn Souders, her sister Linda Links, her daughter and son in love Eva and David Bowman, her daughter Esther Ortega, her grandchildren, Patricia and Darin Hibler, Anna and Johnny Bailey, Gillian Hallemeyer, Christian Leming, and her great grandchildren, Stefanie Hibler, Annika Hibler, Vivian Hibler , Leigha Bailey, Grace Fulghum, Jonathan Bailey Jr., Marleigh Bailey, her numerous nieces and nephews and her extended family in love.
