Obituary of Scott Lee Bright

Scott L Bright (Scoot) was born February 27, 1976 in Nampa, Idaho to Rodney and Sherry. Scott passed away January 14, 2020 at his Mother’s home. He grew up in Nampa, Caldwell and Huston Idaho and Sonora, California. Scott also lived in Seattle, Washington.

Scott attended school at Nampa and Vallivue. He attended college at the College of Southern Idaho.

As a young boy, Scott loved riding dirt bikes with his younger brother and the neighbor boys. He developed a love of rodeoing in his late teens and early twenties. He was a member of the Idaho Cowboy Association. Scott also loved fly fishing and he tied his own flies. He enjoyed the challenge of finding the perfect fabric, material or feathers that he used when he tied flies. He spent many hours fishing with his daughter and cousin. Scott loved snowmobiling, planning rides with his daughter and friends, getting to the back country and then after a day of riding a nice warm fire in the fireplace, and good conversation about the days ride with family and friends. More than anything he loved spending time with his daughter Kadence, either hanging out fishing, snowmobiling, or traveling. Scott loved an adventure.

Scott loved his Pittsburgh sports teams, the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He never watched the games because he said they always lost when he watched.

Scott was extremely proud of his Irish heritage.

Scott was very protective of his family and friends and he would lend a hand, give the shirt off his back, sit another place at the table or make up a bed for any or all of his friends. Scott had a big generous heart. If you ever had interaction with Scott you either left with a smile on your face and love in your heart or a feeling you didn’t like him.

At the time of his death Scott worked for Timbercreek Recycling/Murgoitio Farms. He was a very hard worker, and took pride in a job well done. Scott enjoyed operating heavy equipment.

Scott was predeceased in death by his father Rodney L Bright, maternal grandparents Glen and Ora Brown, paternal grandfather Millard Bright, paternal grandmother Norma Ketcherid , brother David L Bright and numerous uncles, aunts, family members and friends.
