Obituary of Paula M. Gonzalez

Paula M. Gonzalez, 85, entered eternal rest on September 11, 2019, excited and ready to meet her Jesus.   Paula was born on September 23, 1933 in Rio Grande, Texas, to Santos Trevino Gonzalez and Maximina Moroles. She attended school in Edinburg, Texas while Migrating to Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Colorado and Idaho with her parents and siblings following agricultural labor work.

In 1957, the family started migrating to Wilder, Idaho. It was during the family's travels to Idaho that she met Ramiro Zamora, their relationship began in 1958 and made their home in Wilder. From this union they had 6 children; Anna Juanita (Albert Lopez), Thelma (Corey Sellers), Juan Manuel, Anna Belle (Melvin Varner), Alfonzo (Lupe), and Ramiro V. Zamora Jr. and 2 Children from a previous relationship, Domingo Flores and Armando. She had 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Paula loved cooking for her family and friends, she was an excellent cook and made all the traditional Mexican dishes, tortillas, tamales, enchiladas, caldos, and anything her children desired. She was a very hard worker with an outstanding work ethic with the desire to provide the best for her children. Embroidery and gardening were her favorite hobbies, it didn’t matter where she lived, she always had a beautiful flower garden. During her younger years she assisted her Mother in law by planting a family vegetable garden "En el Rancho". It was a wonderful tradition and family contribution as all the family's grandchildren sometimes came to assist or just enjoy family time. In the most recent years, she acquired a like for playing cards and going to play the slot machines. Her daughter and son would make time to take her on weekends to enjoy her Casino time, where everyone at the Casino was a friend.

Paula had 10 siblings: Santos, Tomasa, Evaristo, Samuel, Hermelinda, Herlinda, Lupe, Alvina, Juan, and Hermelinda. Paula was preceded in death by; her parents, several siblings, spouse, Ramiro Zamora, daughter, Thelma, sons, Domingo Flores, Armando, and Alfonzo.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Alvina Villarreal and Herlinda.

"Mom was Unlucky in Love but very Lucky at Cards". She will be missed, but lovingly remembered by her children, family and friends. She was always the life of any gathering she attended. We are sure she's celebrating in heaven with all her beloved family and as she would always say "My Jesus". Yes Mom, we all know now what you meant, "I Know".
