Obituary of Don W. Burman

Don Wesley Burman, 89, of Marsing, passed away on June 5, 2019 in Caldwell, Idaho.  Born April 9, 1930 in Nampa, Idaho to Wesley and Oneta Burman, Don spent the first 10 years of his life in the Franklin district near Nampa.  Here he loved living close to his grandparents and discovered that he liked farm work.  In 1941, the family moved to a farm in the Jump Creek area of Owyhee County where Don resided for 74 years.  He graduated from Marsing High School in 1948, and began to work his own farm.  After 45 years of farming, Don retired and turned his attention to training his horse Chief.  He enjoyed music, riding horses, and hunting and fishing with his family.  Don never married but loved his nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers’ Denis and Glen, brothers-in-law Wally Krause and Richard Percy, and nephew Cary Percy.  Don is survived by his brother Richard, sisters’ Arlene Krause and Mary Jane Percy, and sister-in-law Mary Burman, as well as 8 nieces and nephews and their families.  The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to those who have given such excellent care to Don in his final years.
