Even though Jana was 5 years older than me, we were best buddy's. Our two older sisters were all ready married and in their own homes. By dating age (16) Jana told her boy friend that she was responsible for her brother (David), all three of us went to a movie together. About 1952 our parents moved into a new 3 bedroom house. That was fine except, Grandpa Ingram #1 BR, Mom & Dad #2, and Jana & Dave #3. Jana and her girl friends swapped school clothing and one afternoon; Dave ran into the #3 BR for a baseball mitt and Jana's friend squealed loud enough to nearly break window glass. Jana told her in a calm voice that Dave was her brother and she was totally dressed but just surprised. However, #4 BR for Dave was in the Washer & Dryer RM. Jana was my savior, I told her some boys were bulling me and chasing me home nearly every day after grade school. She told me to slow down just a bit as I rounded the corner of the garage; I didn't stop running, so don't know happened to the bullies but they never bothered me again. We had many adventures together because in the early days we lived behind the Idaho Capital Building and we thought the statues were part of our hide n' seek game until a custodian chased us out. We had many bonding moments. Once she got all her makeup on and ask how she looked, I joking said she looked "horrid," she slapped me so hard my teeth rattled. I quickly said I didn't say whore. And we just hugged it out. And I said she looked beautiful for my sincere apology. We reminisced every time we would get together. Just so much Brotherly and Sisterly love that lasted us a lifetime. Now she can be in heaven with those that already have passed.
