Obituary of Leroy Alex Jones

Leroy “Bud” Jones, 85, went home to be with our Lord on October 7, 2018..

Bud was born on October 10, 1932 in Muskegon, Michigan to Leroy and Irene Jones. In 1952 he joined the United States Air Force. He married Janice Block of LeSueur, Minnesota in 1954. He was deployed many times to places such as Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. The family moved with him to bases in Italy, Philippines, Germany, and throughout these United States. A career Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and the Cold War, he was awarded the Bronze Star.

Retiring from active duty in 1975, he and his family settled in Lakeport, California and then moving to the Treasure Valley in 1988. He was widowed in 1995 when his wife Janice lost her battle with cancer. He was remarried in 1997 to Diana Amato.

He is survived by his second wife Diana and his daughters, Susan Council and Dolores Summerfield; his sons, Leroy and Daniel; his six grandchildren and extended family. He is preceded in death by his first wife Janice; his parents Leroy and Irene, his sister Dolores Pleasant and his two brothers Louis William and Robert who both died in infancy.
