Obituary of Dale Clinton Sherman

  On July 30th, 2018 Dale C. Sherman of Notus, Idaho passed away suddenly at his home with his family by his side after 84 wonderful years.    Dale was born December 31, 1933 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. He married the love of his life, Peggy Allen on June 19, 1955. During his life he worked on various area farms to support his wife and family.

  His passions in life were leading trail rides for the Greenleaf Riding Club, hunting, fishing and cutting fire wood. Dale had many talents of fixing things that everyone would bring to him to work on. His handy work will be missed by many.

  Dale is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Sherman. He is also survived by his two children, Douglas Sherman and spouse Tammy of Notus, Idaho and Carolyn Sue Wyman of Caldwell, Idaho. Dale has two grandchildren, Kelly Douthit of Boise, Idaho and Cristine Holmes of Caldwell, Idaho. He also has two step grandchildren, Jarrett Wyman of Moses Lake, Washington and Shannon Schranck of Rathdrum, Idaho. Dale was very proud to be a great grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren who he loved to spend time with. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers: Diane Smallwood, Esther Hibner, Reta Berry, David Sherman and Paul Sherman. He is preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Sherman.

  Dale’s memorial service is: Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm; Greenleaf Friends Church- 20535 Academy Rd, Greenleaf, ID 83626.  A dinner will follow the service.
