Obituary of Joseph McEntire

It is with great sadness that the family of Joe McEntire announce his passing after a long bout with diabetes and anemia, on July 5, 2018 at the age of 80.  He passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside.

Joseph Harvey McEntire was born on 9-18-1937 in Everett Arkansas.  Joe retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sargeant after serving for 20 years both at home and abroad.  He spent two tours of duty in Viet Nam, one year in Alaska, and 18 months in the Philippines.   He also served in Kansas, California, Texas, Idaho, and Montana.

He is preceded in death by Mother and Father, Mildred and Harvey McEntire, Sister Joyce and brother Fred.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elaine, daughter Debbie Kline (Forest) and son Steve McEntire (Diane), grandchildren Nichole Collingwood (Jason), Rand Kline (Austin), Derek Kline (Breanna), TJ Romero (Lisa), Abby McEntire (Nick), great grandchildren Caiden Collingwood, Caylee Collingwood, Greyson Kline, Noah Romero, and Audrey Romero, and sisters Sue Neihardt and Lois Smith.

He adored watching his Great-grandchildren in their many activities.

Joe loved Idaho and camping in the mountains, taking drives through Owyhee County, fishing in the Snake River for catfish, and Jigging for crappie at Paddock Reservoir.    He also loved exploring Idaho ghost towns.  He loved watching his favorite sports team, the Chicago Cubs.
