Obituary of Donald E. Sedlacek

Donald E. Sedlacek, 73, of Nampa, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 7, 1943 in Nampa ID, to Anton and Hattie Sedlacek; the oldest of 4 children. Donald graduated from Meridian High School in 1961 and in 1963 he served in the Vietnam War for 4 years. He married Margaret Keithley on March 10, 1969 and they enjoyed 48 years together. Together they have two daughters, Becky, born in 1970 and Tina, born in 1972. Donald worked in the cabinetry business for a long time and then he worked at Hehr International in maintenance until his retirement. He was a loving and caring person and he enjoyed going camping and hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sedlacek; daughters, Becky Harris of Boise, ID and Tina (Scott) Frank of Nampa, ID; grandsons, Kayin and Camron Harris of Boise, ID; granddaughters, Trisha (Alec) Frank of Boise and Jessica Frank of Nampa; great-grandchildren, Jaden Scott Vega and Alaya Penney of Boise; sister, Marie (Jim) Wanzer of Nampa and several nieces and nephews. Donald is preceded in death by his parents and brothers. A private viewing will be held for immediate family only and a potluck lunch and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 1:00-5:00 PM at Margaret’s home, 15918 Star Rd, Nampa, ID. 83687, for family and friends.
